Save the file with .vbs extension and close it. Now, when you will open the created file, the LED lights will start blinking. The actual Lock keys are being pressed in the process, so your PC will not work properly while in this mode. You can end “wscript.exe” program in the Task Manager or restart the PC to end this effect.
The first commands I'm going to teach you are very simple, however, they play an important part in the coding process (especially if you're making a game!). @echo off - This command is used to remove all of the unnecessary text that can interfere with your game. It should always be added first; once it is added to a file, it does not have to be typed in again. echo - echo is used to display regular text in your game. For example you can type: "echo Hello adventurer!", and the people playing your game will see is "Hello adventurer!" (So long as you typed in @echo off). echo. - echo. (with a period) is used to create a blank line in your game. This can be useful in keeping your text uncluttered. pause - This command is used when you want your players to take a break, and is used most often when you want to give them time to read some text. When you use this code it shows up as "Press any key to continue . . ." Your players can then press any key, when they are ready, in order to continue playing.
If you want it to play when you turn on your computer, like Jarvis from Iron Man, simply select the file and drag it with your mouse down to the “Start button.” Without releasing your mouse move it onto “All Programs” then find the “Startup” folder and release your mouse button.

Awesome notepad tricks and tips, I tried all and all are working fine. I was Looking for something like this for my readers from so long. Thank You for such a great Info
ConclusionIt's as easy as that! With only the few short commands that I taught you (@echo off, echo, cls, pause, color, goto, etc.) you can be on your way to making very large and complex text-based games. Always double check your code to make sure that you typed everything correctly, and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Good luck and have fun!
From now on whenever you open this file notepad will automatically insert time and date to this file before your note. So you can use it as your dairy if you want, after every update in file, save it.
If file extensions are not visible in Explorer, you'll have to go into the View tab of Folder Options and uncheck the box for Hide extensions for known file types. (If you can't find this setting, please share which Windows version you're using, so that I can guide you better.)
Code! Now you're ready to begin typing your first lines of code, as well as learning you first commands. Commands are each of the words that we type in to the program that have a function; such as the echo, or pause commands.
After the code has been entered, simply save the file as “Text to Speech.vbs” as shown earlier to finalize the script. Once it has been saved, navigate to the location where it is, and double click on it. You will notice that window is called “I speak for you.” and the prompt to enter text to be vocalized is “What shall I say, your Geekiness?” You can always alter these to say anything you want.
The last thing I need to show you how to do is to save your file. Once you are all done, click the "file" button at the top of the screen, then click on "Save As." This will display a window where you can then create a name for you game and save it wherever you would like. However, you need to make sure that you save it as a Batch (.bat) file and not as a regular text file (.txt). To do this, after you type in the name of your game add .bat behind it. You then need to go to "Save as type" and select "All Files." Then you're done! All you have to do is hit the "save" button. Remember, you can edit your game at any time by right clicking on the batch file and selecting "edit."
If you share a lot of photos, you don't actually have to click that "Insert Image" button whenever you want to embed a picture in an email. In both Firefox and Chrome, you can just drag images right into messages and drop them there to insert them. You can also copy and paste images from the web, which is particularly handy if you don't want to download an image to your desktop first.
So, this was all about cool notepad tricks, which you can use to play pranks with your friends or to make fun of them. All of tricks are personally tested by us. If, any Notepad trick is not working, than Comment below.
To jump to a specific line, hit CTRL + G to bring up the Go To Line dialog, type in the line number you’d like to jump to, and hit Enter. This works even if you haven’t displayed the line count, because Notepad’s numbering system is active at all times.
Let’s assume that you have made few changes in a particular file or say you want to make two instances of a single file. To do this, open or create the file that you want to place side by side or make another instance. Then, right-click on the tab and select Clone to Other View.
Don’t think that these lights will dance and entertain you. But it will flicker like on and off lights. Your all lights Num lock, scroll lock, caps lock.
To access the folder again, run locker.bat and when prompted, enter your password (the one you added to the code while saving the .bat file). If you have forgotten the password, drag and drop the locker.bat file into Notepad to view the password.
Some of you more experienced Gmail users may know this "trick" already, but it's surprising how many people are still syncing their iPhone with their computer to get their contacts, when you can sync everything over the air. Check out these instructions to see how to set up Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts on iOS and get everything syncing over the air. After setting it up, your contacts and calendar should always be up to date whether or not you've synced, and your email notifications should come in instantly. Of course, Android users need not worry—Android does all this out of the box.
Question, I got a few problems but I just want to start off with this one. When I was making mine, it didn't seem to work out properly. (It exits even though I think there was nothing wrong with the code) When I was suddenly making a guess of why it didn't work, I tried to solve it and it somehow worked. The problem? I don't think that it can handle "special characters" but it worked out with other special characters like "!" and "-".So while I'm working on other problems, I'm hoping that I can get a solution for this one. Thanks for reading.
You may not know this, but Gmail automatically backs up your contact list regularly, so if you ever mess it up—lose a contact, accidentally sync an older set of contacts, or even delete your entire address book by accident, you can restore it to exactly the way it was at any point in time. Just head to your contact list in Gmail, click the "More" button, and choose "Restore Contacts".
SavingThe last thing I need to show you how to do is to save your file. Once you are all done, click the "file" button at the top of the screen, then click on "Save As." This Notepad tricks is same as the Continuous Notepad opening trick, but it will open a program in the background. The program will keep opening and in just few seconds it will slow, freeze and then shutdown the PC with blue screen of death. So the risk of losing data is same here as well, be careful while trying this trick and save all the important data.
Have you watched the movie, “Matrix”? You might have seen a string of green characters appearing at the screen randomly. We are going to do something similar with the help of Notepad. To use this Notepad trick, follow these steps:
The second thing I want to mention is that batch files read from top to bottom. This means that when you run a batch file, all of your code at the top will be interpreted and will run before your code at the bottom. This concept is what allows some of the things I'm going to teach you, to work. If for example you place a "echo" command and in the next line place a "cls" command, all of your text will be erased without your player getting to read it (this will make more sense later on).
Notepad is the simplest text editor provided by Microsoft in every version of Windows. It is helpful when we want to create a quick note. The files created by Notepad are saved in .txt format which is supported by every text editor. So, the files created by Notepad are compatible to open, edit and modify everywhere.
If you want your computer to read you any text, you can enjoy that using the notepad tricks. This is what you have to do, type the given code below in your notepad and save as a .vbs file and you are good to go.
This trick will let you force shutdown your Windows in a single-click. So, if you don’t want to waste three clicks (Start >> Turn Off Computer >> Turn Off), this trick will help you in that. To do this:
IntroductionDid you know that the simple Notepad program on your computer is actually a very powerful programming tool? That's right, and it is also very easy to learn. In this article I'm going to show you how to make a simple game using only the Notepad program and a programming language called "Batch." Batch is a language that runs primarily out of your Windows command prompt. Now, it's not even close to being the most powerful programming language out there, but it still let's you do enough to be extremely useful to know (at least for anyone in the computer field). Not only is it useful, but it can also be used to create amazing text-based games! What is a text-based game you ask? It's a game (a very simple one) in which the user interacts through the use of text and choice-making.You will learn how to set up situations in which the characters will have to make choices about how they want to approach the problem.
If you've ever copied and pasted text into Gmail, you know how annoying it is that it keeps the text's original formatting. If you want to turn that huge, poorly-chosen font into Gmail's default, you don't need to resort to pasting it in Notepad first—you can just click Gmail's "Remove Formatting" button (yeah, I didn't know that's what that button did either). I'll instantly remove the properties of all your email's text, no hassle required.
If you are developing a theme, obviously there are more than one files. It is quite difficult to open and close different files in a particular folder. To solve this problem, Notepad++ has an awesome feature called Folder as Workspace, which helps users to view all the files and folders in the tree view. You can see a sidebar on the left-hand side that will let you open a particular folder and file. To open a folder, click on File > Open Folder as Workspace, and choose the folder that you want to show in a tree view.

“Sorry, could you go back a slide?” They’re the seven words no presenter wants to hear. It doesn’t matter where in the presentation you shout this out, it’ll immediately make you look like you’re paying closer attention than everyone else is, because clearly they missed the thing that you’re about to brilliantly point out. Don’t have anything to point out? Just say something like, “I’m not sure what these numbers mean,” and sit back. You’ve bought yourself almost an entire meeting of appearing smart.
cls, exit, title, and colorOk, this next set of commands are all really simple as well, but are nice to have. cls - cls is a command that I use a lot. It stands for "clear screen", and what it does is remove all of the text that has been made in the command prompt window (ergo, making the screen blank). This is a good tool when you want to keep your game looking clean and in order. exit - This does exactly what it sounds like, it closes the game. You should only use this when the characters reach the end of the game, or if you want the game to close when they die or make a wrong decision. title - title displays whatever you type after it in the title bar of the command prompt window. color - color is a really fun command, and can be used to liven up your game. When you add the color code, followed by a space and a specific set of numbers or letter, you can change the colors of the command prompt window. For a list of the available colors see the picture below or open up the command prompt and type in "color/?". You can access the command prompt by going back in to the accessories folder in the start menu. It should be in the same list as Notepad.

This one requires a bit more work, but again, you never have to install any extension or sign up for a service to get it working—you just need a simple Google Apps script. Once you set it up, it'll let you "snooze" an email for a certain number of days. When that number of days passes, the email will be marked as new again, reminding you to act on that email now (just like a snooze alarm on your phone). Check out our full guide on how to set it up.
If you want to replace a particular word or text with some other word, in multiple files, open all the files in Notepad++. Press Ctrl + H, type the word you want replaced, and the new word in the given fields and click on the Replace All in All Opened Documents. To save all the files at once, press Ctrl + Shift + S.

In Samoa a form of cricket called Kilikiti is played in which hockey stick-shaped bats are used. In original English cricket, the hockey stick shape was replaced by the modern straight bat in the 1760s after bowlers began to pitch the ball instead of rolling or skimming it. In Estonia, teams gather over the winter for the annual Ice Cricket tournament. The game juxtaposes the normal summer pursuit with harsh, wintry conditions. Rules are otherwise similar to those for the six-a-side game.
During the bowling action the elbow may be held at any angle and may bend further, but may not straighten out. If the elbow straightens illegally then the square-leg umpire may call no-ball: this is known as "throwing" or "chucking", and can be difficult to detect. The current laws allow a bowler to straighten his arm 15 degrees or less.
The two batsmen take positions at opposite ends of the pitch. One designated member of the fielding team, called the bowler, bowls the ball from one end of the pitch to the striking batsman at the other end. The batsman at the bowling end is called the non-striker, and stands to the side of his wicket, behind his crease. The batsman are allowed to step forward of their creases, though at some risk. Another member of the fielding team, the wicket keeper, is positioned behind the striker's wicket.
The batsman tries to prevent the ball from hitting the wicket by striking the ball with his bat. (This includes the handle of the bat, and his gloves.) If the bowler succeeds in putting down the wicket the batsman is dismissed and is said to be bowled out. If the batsman misses the ball, but any part of his body prevents it from reaching the wicket, then he is out leg before wicket, or "LBW".
If the match has only a single innings per side, then a maximum number of deliveries for each innings is often imposed. Such a match is called a "limited overs" or "one-day" match, and the side scoring more runs wins regardless of the number of wickets lost, so that a draw cannot occur. If this kind of match is temporarily interrupted by bad weather, then a complex mathematical formula, known as the Duckworth-Lewis method after its developers, is often used to recalculate a new target score. A one-day match can also be declared a "no-result" if fewer than a previously agreed number of overs have been bowled by either team, in circumstances that make normal resumption of play impossible; for example, wet weather.
Four lines, known as creases, are painted onto the pitch around the wicket areas to define the batsman's "safe territory" and to determine the limit of the bowler's approach. These are called the "popping" (or batting) crease, the bowling crease and two "return" creases.
Club cricket is a mainly amateur, but still formal, form of the sport of cricket, usually involving teams playing in competitions at weekends or in the evening. There is a great deal of variation in game format although the Laws of Cricket are always observed.
At any one time, there are two batsmen in the playing area. One takes station at the striker's end to defend the wicket as above and to score runs if possible. His partner, the non-striker, is at the end where the bowler is operating.
There is a wide variety of shots played in cricket. The batsman's repertoire includes strokes named according to the style of swing and the direction aimed: e.g., "cut", "drive", "hook", "pull".

In the vast majority of cases, it is the striker who is out when a dismissal occurs. If the non-striker is dismissed it is usually by being run out, but he could also be dismissed for obstructing the field, handling the ball or being timed out.

Two different types of cricket balls: i) A used white ball. White balls are mainly used in limited overs cricket, especially in matches played at night, under floodlights (left). ii) A used red ball. Red balls are used in Test cricket and first-class cricket and some other forms of cricket (right). NB Both balls are the same size.
Unlike those of most sports, cricket playing fields can vary significantly in size and shape. While the dimensions of the pitch and infield are specifically regulated, the Laws of Cricket do not specify the size or shape of the field. The field boundaries are sometimes painted and sometimes marked by a rope. Pitch and outfield variations can have a significant effect on how balls behave and are fielded as well as on batting. Pitches vary in consistency, and thus in the amount of bounce, spin, and seam movement available to the bowler. Hard pitches are usually good to bat on because of high but even bounce. Dry pitches tend to deteriorate for batting as cracks often appear, and when this happens to the pitch, spinners can play a key role. Damp pitches, or pitches covered in grass (termed "green" pitches), allow good fast bowlers to extract extra bounce. Such pitches tend to offer help to fast bowlers throughout the match, but become better for batting as the game goes on. While players of other outdoor sports deal with similar variations of field surface and stadium covering, the size and shape of their fields are much more standardised. Other local factors, such as altitude and climate, can also significantly affect play. These physical variations create a distinctive set of playing conditions at each ground. A given ground may acquire a reputation as batsman friendly or bowler friendly if one or the other discipline notably benefits from its unique mix of elements. The absence of a standardised field affects not only how particular games play out, but the nature of team makeup and players' statistical records.
Indoor Cricket was first invented in 1970. It is similar to outdoor cricket except that is played in an indoor sports hall with 6 players per team. It is extremely popular in the UK with national championships and multiple independent leagues. Another less formal version of indoor cricket is played in a smaller arena with a soft ball and without pads was invented some years later and is commonly played in the Southern Hemisphere, and even has its own nominal international championships, including World Cups.
A team consists of eleven players. Depending on his or her primary skills, a player may be classified as a specialist batsman or bowler. A well-balanced team usually has five or six specialist batsmen and four or five specialist bowlers. Teams nearly always include a specialist wicket-keeper because of the importance of this fielding position. Each team is headed by a captain who is responsible for making tactical decisions such as determining the batting order, the placement of fielders and the rotation of bowlers.
If the team that bats last is all out having scored fewer runs than their opponents, the team is said to have "lost by n runs" (where n is the difference between the number of runs scored by the teams). If the team that bats last scores enough runs to win, it is said to have "won by n wickets", where n is the number of wickets left to fall. For instance a team that passes its opponents' score having only lost six wickets would have won "by four wickets".
Cricket entered a new era in 1963 when English counties introduced the limited overs variant. As it was sure to produce a result, limited overs cricket was lucrative and the number of matches increased. The first Limited Overs International was played in 1971. The governing International Cricket Council (ICC) saw its potential and staged the first limited overs Cricket World Cup in 1975. In the 21st century, a new limited overs form, Twenty20, has made an immediate impact.
The innings (ending with 's' in both singular and plural form) is the term used for the collective performance of the batting side. Sometimes all eleven members of the batting side take a turn to bat but, for various reasons, an innings can end before they have all done so. Depending on the type of match being played, each team has either one or two innings.

At the start of each game, two batsmen and eleven fielders enter the field of play. The play begins when a member of the fielding team, known as the bowler, delivers the ball from one end of the pitch to the other, towards the wicket at that end, in front of which stands one of the batsmen, known as the striker. The striker "takes guard" on a crease drawn on the pitch four feet in front of the wicket. His role is to prevent the ball from hitting the stumps by use of his bat, and simultaneously to strike it well enough to score runs. The other batsman, known as the non-striker, waits at the opposite end of the pitch near the bowler. A dismissed batsman must leave the field, and a teammate replaces him. The bowler's objectives are to prevent the scoring of runs and to dismiss the batsman. An over is a set of six deliveries bowled by the same bowler. The next over is bowled from the other end of the pitch by a different bowler.
The laws of cricket are maintained by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). There are various formats ranging from Twenty20, played over a few hours with each team having a single innings of 20 overs (i.e. 120 deliveries), to Test cricket, played over five days with unlimited overs and the teams playing two innings apiece. Traditionally cricketers play in all-white kit, but in limited overs cricket they wear club or team colours. In addition to the basic kit, some players wear protective gear to prevent injury caused by the ball, which is a hard, solid object made of compressed leather enclosing a cork core.
Although the term "Test match" was not coined until much later, Test cricket is deemed to have begun with two matches between Australia and England in the 1876–77 Australian season. Subsequently, eight other national teams have achieved Test status: South Africa , West Indies , New Zealand , India , Pakistan , Sri Lanka , Zimbabwe and Bangladesh . Zimbabwe suspended its Test status in 2006 due to its inability to compete against other Test teams, and returned in 2011.
The bowler reaches his delivery stride by means of a "run-up", although some bowlers with a very slow delivery take no more than a couple of steps before bowling. A fast bowler needs momentum and takes quite a long run-up, running very fast as he does so.
When the bowler has bowled a no ball or a wide, his team incurs an additional penalty because that ball (i.e., delivery) has to be bowled again and hence the batting side has the opportunity to score more runs from this extra ball. The batsmen have to run (i.e., unless the ball goes to the boundary for four) to claim byes and leg byes but these only count towards the team total, not to the striker's individual total for which runs must be scored off the bat.
If the team batting last is all out, and both sides have scored the same number of runs, then the match is a tie; this result is quite rare in matches of two innings a side. In the traditional form of the game, if the time allotted for the match expires before either side can win, then the game is declared a draw.
At each end of the pitch is a wooden target called a wicket; the two wickets are placed 22 yards (20 m) apart. The pitch is marked with painted lines: a bowling crease in line with the wicket, and a batting or popping crease 1.22 m (4 ft) in front of it. The wicket is made of three vertical stumps supporting two small horizontal bails. A wicket is put down if at least one bail is dislodged, or one stump is knocked down (usually by the ball, but also if the batsman does it with his body, clothing or equipment). This is also described as breaking, knocking down, or hitting the wicket – though if the ball hits the wicket but does not dislodge a bail or stump then it is not considered to be down.
Cricket is a sport played predominantly in the drier periods of the year. But, even so, the weather is a key factor in many cricket matches.
Domestic limited overs competitions began with England's Gillette Cup knockout in 1963. Countries usually stage seasonal limited overs competitions in both knockout and league format. In recent years, national Twenty20 competitions have been introduced, usually in knockout form though some incorporate mini-leagues.

The stumps are placed in line on the bowling creases and so these creases must be 22 yards (20 m) apart. A bowling crease is 2.64 metres (8.7 ft) long, with the middle stump placed dead centre. The popping crease has the same length, is parallel to the bowling crease and is 1.2 metres (3.9 ft) in front of the wicket. The return creases are perpendicular to the other two; they are adjoined to the ends of the popping crease and are drawn through the ends of the bowling crease to a length of at least 2.4 metres (7.9 ft).

In the UK, garden cricket is a popular version of the sport, played in gardens and on recreation grounds around the country by adults and children alike. Although a cricket bat and ball are generally used, other equipment such as pads and gloves are not. The exact rules will vary based on the number of participants and the available space.

For a team sport, cricket places individual players under unusual scrutiny and pressure. Bowler, batsman, and fielder all act essentially independently of each other. While team managements can signal to a bowler or batsman to pursue certain tactics, the execution of the play itself is a series of solitary acts. Cricket is more similar to baseball than many other team sports in this regard: while the individual focus in cricket is slightly mitigated by the importance of the batting partnership and the practicalities of running, it is enhanced by the fact that a batsman's innings may continue for several hours.

This Notepad tricks is same as the Continuous Notepad opening trick, but it will open a program in the background.

Best Notepad Tricks

Gmail is amazing. It's chock full of more shortcuts, settings, and features than you could shake a stick at. Even if you consider yourself a Gmail ninja, though, there are quite a few tricks you might not know about (and some that Google didn't even intend). Here are our top 10 clever tricks built right into Gmail.

If the non-striker is dismissed it is usually by being run out, but he could also be dismissed for obstructing the field, handling the ball or being timed out.
i) A used white ball. White balls are mainly used in limited overs cricket, especially in matches played at night, under floodlights (left). ii) A used red ball. Red balls are used in Test cricket and first-class cricket and some other forms of cricket (right).
